Precious Paula Nicole impersonates Regine Velasquez and performs ‘Araw Gabi’!

Following the success of ‘Kinang’, an online benefit concert for the displaced LGBTQ+ raising over 200,000 pesos, Angel Locsin and team once again put the spotlight on our drag queens for its 9th episode.

Apart from officially handing over the amount raised through the online concert, Angel Locsin shares more of her meaningful conversations with Filipino drag queens who participated in the event.

Omiko Madali sits down with Angel and recounts how her loved ones embraced her identity, while Daniel "Cherry Pie" Padilla Magbanua Jr. talks about his humble beginnings as an impersonator. Precious Paula Nicole, one of the performers at the online benefit concert who is a certified fan and long-time impersonator of Ms. Regine Velasquez discusses how paying attention to the smallest details helped her master her craft.

She performed ‘Araw Gabi’ at the benefit concert impersonating Ms. Regine Velasquez and we can really tell that she has totally mastered copying the Asia’s songbird from her gestures, facial expressions and even mastered how to look exactly like her.

When asked why she chose to impersonate Ms. Regine Velasquez, she revealed that it just happened and totally not planned at all. She shared that the mastery of her craft that was shown at the online benefit concert is the fruit of her labor for a decade.

Ms. Regine Velasquez probably has the most number of impersonators amongst OPM singers and on Iba Yan’s 8th episode, Asia’s songbird did not forget to acknowledge our LGBTQ+ friends and thank them for the undying support  “Napakalaki po ng pasasalamat ko sa LGBTQ community dahil po sa walang sawa nilang pagsuporta at pagmamahal na ibinibigay sa akin simula nung nag-umpisa akong kumanta”
