Heaven's Touch Cuisine thanks Angel Locsin and team Iba Yan for recognizing their effort amid the pandemic!
Last Sunday, Angel Locsin and team Iba Yan went to Sampaloc Manila to visit Heaven's Touch Cuisine where they met Nanay Gay, a loving mother who manages the carinderia for over 14 years. Nanay Gay shared her inspiring story from her struggles in juggling her studies and work to being a mom to a dozen of students who eat at the carinderia.
Heaven's Touch Cuisine is one of the most loved carinderia around the university belt and with the distance learning that's in effect amid the pandemic, they decided to temporarily close the business.
As a way of giving back to the people who support the eatery, Nanay Gay with her children launched a food drive which aims to provide meals to frontliners and other people in need like locally stranded individuals.
With everything that Nanay Gay has done for her children, from the students who loved her cooking and treated as her own to the food drive she spearheaded amid the pandemic, it is just fitting to give her a treat.
Nanay Gay was treated with a day of free relaxation at the Aivee clinic. Apart from that, the team also gifted her with essentials that can be used for their food drive. Angel Locsin and team surprised them with gloves, masks, and hairnets, food containers and utensils, bottled water, personalized aprons, kitchenware and stove, and 20 sacks of rice!
On their facebook page, Heaven's Touch Cuisine and Nanay Gay thanked Angel Locsin and the show for recognizing their efforts amid the pandemic.
"Mula sa team #HTFoodDrive, Maraming Salamat po Ms. Angel Locsin and Team Iba 'Yan. Thank you for recognizing our simple efforts on helping our community to fight covid19. "
HT food drive continues and they are still accepting donations in kind or in cash. Visit their official Facebook page, Heaven's Touch Cuisine, Asturias for more info.
