Angel Locsin broke into tears as as she talked about the possibility of people she will help being red-tagged too!

Angel Locsin is setting the record straight, vehemently denying the red-tagging allegations that she and her family are part of any communist or terrorist group. “To set the record straight, hindi po ako parte ng (I am not a part of) NPA or any terrorist group. Neither my sister nor my kuya Neri (Colmenares) is a part of the NPA or any terrorist group,” she said on an Instagram post.

This comes after the reckless and dangerous remarks of a high-ranking Army official accusing them of being leftist which the actress could not keep mum about as it threatens not only her safety, but also her family.

On a recent interview with Teleradyo, the distraught actress philanthropist broke into tears fearing that the people she will help will also be accused of red-tagging.

This ‘terrorist claim’ revived photos of the actress’ 2009 visit to a school for Lumad youth called Alternative Learning Center for Agricultural and Livelihood Development Inc. (ALCADEV) that some of her attackers use as a false ‘evidence’ for recruiting students to become members of the communist New People’s Army.

ALCADEV was established in 2004 as an alternative learning system for indigenous youth, providing them academic studies, and vocational and technical skills. These are the youth often not reached by government services, called Kabataang Lumad, who on Facebook stood with the Angel Locsin, slamming the baseless red-tagging with a fiery statement that went:

Thank you so much. Wala akong masamang hangarin, hidden agenda. Nandito ako walang itinatago... Tulungan nyo na lang po ako kung kayang iclear ang pangalan namin, kami nina ate,” she also said on the interview thanking her supporters for standing up for her.
