“Okay lang magkamali, okay lang humindi, okay lang na hindi perpekto,” Angel Locsin to her younger self.

We all have heard about Angel Locsin’s humble beginnings and how she started in the industry. Starting on the business so young, it probably is not easy to grow up in the eyes of people some of which knows nothing but scrutinize her every move.

Angel Locsin was just a teenager when she starred in Click and won the hearts of people as Alwina in Mulawin. And as a young lady balancing her career, living her life, and the pressure of being on the spotlight, we can just imagine how determined she is to live up to people’s expectations and please everybody.

Now that she’s older and has grown wiser, the actress has a message and an advice to her younger self.

“Okay lang magkamali, okay lang humindi, okay lang na hindi perpekto.”

“Huwag mong pahirapan masyado ang sarili mo base sa expectation ng ibang tao, ang pinkaimportanteng opinyon ay ang opinyon mo sa sarili mo at opinyon ng mga mahal mo, ‘yung iba they’re just noise. Yung mga taong nagmamalasakit sa’yo, ‘yun ang pakinggan mo.”

Over the past year, many things have changed but when she was starting out in the biz, people have written ridiculous gossip about her and very little outlet to explain herself or express her side of the story and dealing with all these, while trying her hardest to live up to people’s expectations must have been really hard.

We all have our insecurities and at a very young age, she learned to overcome them in front of thousands or even millions of people and from being a teenager trying to please everyone, she became one of the strongest, most courageous, and inspiring women in the country!
