Angel Locsin, Sarah Geronimo, Anne Curtis, and other stars who chose to stay as a Kapamilya.

A few months after the pandemic hit the country, another obstacle came crushing down ABS-CBN and its employees. The network was denied of a franchise to operate and has to shut down most of their operations and since then, they have been struggling reaching their audience and keeping their employees and artists.

Since the denial of the franchise, ABS-CBN now has limited reach. They found ways to provide service to the Filipino people through online platforms but it still is not enough. After letting go of some employees, they are now losing stars and news anchors as some of them transfer to other network for a better job offer.

Though there are stars who left, there’s still some who chose to stay one of which is Angel Locsin.

In an interview with ABS-CBN news last July, the actress shared that she’ll stay as a Kapamilya and doesn’t have any intentions of leaving her friends and family in the network “Stay ako dito kasi 'yun ang tingin ko na tama. Nandito lang ako kasi hindi ko kayang iwan 'yung mga kaibigan o kapamilya,”

“Hindi mo naman sila iiwan habang naghihirap, di ba? Habang may pinagdadaanan, hindi mo iyan iiwan kapag mahalaga sa’yo. Habang may pinagdadaanan 'yung ABS-CBN, nandito lang ako.” she added.

Angel Locsin has showed her all out support to the network even during the franchise hearings. She joined prayer rallies, encouraged her fellow artists to speak up and also one of the most heartbroken when the franchise renewal was denied and it is a no surprise that she’ll choose to stay as a Kapamilya no matter what.

Other Kapamilya stars who remain loyal Kapamilya are Sarah Geronimo, Anne Curtis, and Piolo Pascual to name a few.
