“Nawalan na ako ng sensation sa legs” Angel Locsin opens up about a dreadful experience caused by her injury.

Angel Locsin is dubbed as action drama queen for a reason. In her more than 15 years in the industry, the actress has top billed 9 TV series, 7 of which are action themed teleserye. She has done so well in these TV series not only the acting part but also the action part. She does her own stunts and most often than not has to be harnessed 80ft above the ground despite the fact that she’s afraid of heights!

But with all these action stunts, and death defying moves came an injury that has caused her a passion project and caused her to take a hiatus of almost five years. When asked about her injury in an interview with Celeste Tuviera, the actress admitted that her back injury was developed because of work.

Her injury definitely has affected the projects that she’s been offered and can do but as per the actress, she never once regret doing everything that she’s done before because she’s proud of it.

“Ako I’m just grateful for the opportunity, wala akong pinagsisihan kasi proud ako sa mga nagawa ko and kung ano man ‘yung naging injury ko, kaya kong makinig sa katawan ko, kaya kong tanggapin kung ano ‘yung limitations ko, alam kong aralin kung ano pa ‘yung mga kaya ko so walang problema sa akin,” she shared.

But despite this positive outlook in dealing with the limitations brought upon by her injury, Angel admitted that she also got scared specially when she reached the lowest point of her injury and actually lost a sensation in her legs one day.

“Nung time na hindi na ako nakakalakad, nakahiga na lang ako sa floor, bigla akong bumagsak eh, hindi ko na kaya kasi gusto kong pumunta ng CR sana,” she shared.

“Nawalan na ako ng sensation sa legs tapos even my bladder control tapos tumawag na ng ambulance,” she added.

Thankfully, with her courage and strength Angel was able to survive her injury and came out of it stronger! She was able to do what she loves in The General’s Daughter and proved why she’s the country’s action drama queen despite the limitations caused by her injury.
