Angel Locsin is Esquire Philippines’ Advocate of the year!

An actress, commercial model, endorser, fashion designer and a producer — these are just few of the things that’s in Angel Locsin’s impressive resumé. Aside from all these, one of the things that she’s been lauded for is being an advocate.

Behind the camera, void of make-up and all the glam that comes with her job, Angel Locsin is Angelica Colmenares, a volunteer, an advocate and a person for others. And because of her dedication on helping others and her advocacy, the actress becomes this year’s Esquire Philippines’ advocate of the year!

On a video shared by Esquire Philippines, the actress thanks esquire for the recognition.

“It’s a great honor na marecognize ka ng Esquire sa dinami-dami ng karapat-dapat ding maging advocate of the year. So thank you so much for the trust” the actress shared.

She also talked about some of her advocacies like that of women empowerment and fighting for their rights.

“Bilang isang babae, sino bang mas better to represent ang mga kababaihan kundi mga babae lang din naman talaga. So bilang kapwa babae, feeling ko it’s our obligation to speak-up, to fight for other women”

Angel Locsin is not someone who just sits around and waits for a change to happen, she aspire to make the change, to be the change through her words and more so her actions which is why it is just and right for her to be recognized for her advocacies. She never hesitates to speak-up, lend her voice to those unheard and become the beacon of hope most people need. She is an inspiration to many, a literal angel who walks among us!
