Angel Locsin on working with Ms. Maricel Soriano and admiring her work!

Angel Locsin always speaks so highly of her colleagues. She has nothing but good words for those whom she worked with. Some of her co-stars that she can’t stop admiring are the legends like the star for all seasons Ms. Vilma Santos and the diamond star Ms. Maricel Soriano.

Angel Locsin and the diamond star worked closely in the hit show The General’s Daughter where they played the role of Rhian Bonifacio and Nanang Sabel respectively.

They shared a lot of scenes on the said series and given the caliber of their skills, they both delivered emotional performances that never failed to make the viewers cry or feel for their characters.

On an interview with Ms. Celeste Tuviera, Angel Locsin recounts that one scene from a movie starring Ms. Maricel Soriano that astound her and made her an ultimate fan. Angel raved about how the diamond star delivered a performance with just her eyes, no lines or anything but just her eyes which she revealed sometimes she dreamed about.

“Napanaginipan ko ‘yung matang yun hindi ko makalimutan” she shared.

And during their The General’s Daughter stint, Angel admitted that she anticipated to experience the diamond star’s iconic slap “Syempre nung nakaeksena ko sya, inaabangan ko ang iconic sampal nya [bilang] kilala talaga sya sa pinakamasakit manampal”

Angel Locsin and Ms. Maricel Soriano shared a lot of scenes in The General’s Daughter and every time they share the frame, they never fail to make the viewers cry.

Angel Locsin for all we know is a league of her own. She has set her own records and has made her mark in the industry and the way she talks about her co-stars only reflect her humility and her respect to those who’ve been in the biz first, the legends as what most of us should call them.
