P3.8-M shabu, 34 guns seized in Region 12
Police arrested 71 wanted individuals and seized shabu worth P3.8 million during a one-day operation across Region 12, officials said.
Police Region 12 Director BGen Arnold Ardiente said the operation also targeted loose firearms, leading to the confiscation of 34 assorted weapons and arrest of one suspect.

NorMin inflation slows down to 2.6%
The inflation rate in Northern Mindanao went down to 2.6 percent in December from 2.7 percent in November 2024, the Philippine Statistics Authority in Region 10 said.
PSA Region 10 Director Janeth Aves said the one percent slowdown in December is due to the lower inflation in food and non-alcoholic beverages.
Aves said the inflation rate of cereal fell from 6.6 percent in November to 2.2 percent in December, while that of meat decreased from 2.1 percent to 1.3 percent. (Froilan Gallardo/MindaNews)
3 drug suspects selling shabu in schools nabbed
Agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Region 12 arrested Wednesday three suspects allegedly selling shabu to schools and farming villages in Tacurong City.
Benjamin Recites III, PDEA-12 Director said the suspects sold P680,000 worth of shabu to non-uniformed PDEA-12 agents and policemen during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Poblacion.
