In a “tropical cyclone bulletin” issued at 5 p.m., PAGASA said that Tropical Storm Ada was estimated at 400 km east of Surigao City, moving northwestward at 15 kph.

PAGASA said that “strong to gale-force winds extend outwards up to 400 km from the center.”

In Mindanao, Dinagat Islands, Surigao del Norte, and Surigao del Sur remain under Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal (TCWS) No. 1, with strong winds ranging from 39 to 61 kph, but with “minimal to minor threat to life and property.”

In the Visayas, under TCWS 1 are all three provinces of Samar, as well as the eastern portions of Biliran, Leyte, and Southern Leyte. In Luzon: eastern portion of Camarines Sur, Sorsogon, eastern portion of Albay, and Catanduanes.

On Wednesday, the Coast Guard District Northeastern Mindanao (CGDNEM) temporarily suspended sea travels across the Caraga Region.

The Philippine Coast Guard stations in Siargao, Dinagat Islands, Surigao del Norte, Surigao del Sur, and Agusan del Norte ordered the suspension of voyages of passenger vessels, fishing boats, and small watercraft, particularly along routes affected by the weather disturbance and placed all units in the Caraga Region on red alert.
