Angel Locsin’s Darna, on top of the list of GMA’s highest rated teleseryes of all time!

A teleserye or any show in particular claims success over its rival if they get higher ratings than the other. Ratings were measured through a third party market research firm like AGB Nielsen and Kantar Media. Way back 2008, AGB Nielsen released a list of the highest rated shows of all time and on 2012, they released an updated list setting the bar at a 40 percent and above rating for a single episode. Pep.ph listed GMA-7’s 5 highest rated teleserye episodes of all time that are in AGB Nielsen's ranking and on top of the list is Darna 2005, top-billed by none other than Ms. Angel Locsin!

Darna 2005 top-billed by Angel Locsin is the first TV adaptation Mars Ravelo's Darna. The show recorded the highest rated pilot episode of any TV show that garnered 47.1%. On its fourth episode, the show soared even higher and recorded a new all time high ratings at 52.1%. GMA-7 records' show that this is its highest rated episode however, AGB Nielsen records indicate that the show garnered 54.3% on one of its episodes making it the 18th most watched Filipino TV program of all time.

Marimar Starring Marian Rivera and Dingdong Dantes comes second with an all time high rating of 52.6%. Third on the list is the story of our favorite Sang’gre sisters, Encantadia 2005 with an all time high rating of 51.7%.

Sitting on the fourth spot is another Angel Locsin starrer teleserye, Mulawin. It was Locsin's first major role alongside Richard Gutierrez and Dennis Trillo. Mulawin soared high on rating game beating its rival show garnering 48.6% ratings on one of its episodes making it the 33rd most watched Filipino TV program of all time.

Lastly, on fifth spot is another Marian Rivera and Dingdong Dantes starrer teleserye and another Mars Ravelo’s masterpiece, Dyesebel with an all time high rating of 48.6%
