Angel Locsin helps spread awareness and mobilize BAYANIHAN for the victims of typhoon #Ulysses online!



For the past years, our country faced numerous calamities man-made and natural that left people homeless and in need of help but this year, these calamities hit differently because aside from the devastation caused by the natural disaster we are still facing the threat of the pandemic that we’ve been trying to fight for almost 8 months.


Just recently, a tropical cyclone Ulysses plummeted Luzon only a week after a super typhoon Rolly hit some parts of the country. Some areas in Luzon was taken by surprise and was not prepared to evacuate leaving a lot of people stranded in their own home while water level rises. The night when the cyclone peaked, people have been calling for rescue on social media, houses were flooded and people were actually staying on the roof to survive.


The aftermath of the cyclone has left people in distress and as the Darna that she is, Angel Locsin quickly jumped in to help people the best way she can.



After her efforts for the victims of typhoon Rolly, the actress together with co-members of ActorPH immediately organize a relief operation and visited areas that are badly affected by the cyclone.


The actress also utilized her wide reach on social media as she helped spread awareness and information like rescue hotlines and used her platform to lend a voice to those who needs rescue. The actress also shared list of affected areas and fund raising campaign initiatives launched by various concerned parties.


On her twitter account, the actress sends a short and heartfelt message for those who are affected by typhoons Rolly and Ulysses.

“My heart bleeds for those heavily affected by these typhoons #RollyPh & #UlyssesPh. Praying that you, your loved ones, and colleagues are safe and secure. Our resilience will always be greater than any calamity! Alagaan natin ang isa’t isa. Keep safe mga kababayan ko.”
