Angel Locsin, Edu Manzano to star in an eight part Filipino adaptation of the hit French series “Call My Agent” in HBO Go!
It has been 2 years since we last saw Angel Locsin on TV and as we all know, she chose to take a break and focus on her personal life, building a life with her husband Neil Arce.
Now that they are married and are settled into their new home, people have been wondering, what’s next for Angel? Apart from interviews on podcasts and various platforms, and a YouTube channel, Angel has rarely graced our screens whether it be on TV and on the big screen but it seems like our wait will be finally over for she is set to star a Filipino adaptation of the French hit series "Call My Agent"!
"Call My Agent" is a hit French comedy-drama series that depicts the behind the scenes of what we perceived as a glamorous showbiz life and on a recent news published by Variety,com, it has been revealed that Angel Locsin alongside Mr. Edu Manzano were casted to lead its Filipino adaptation which will be directed by Direk Erik Matti.
On the same report, it has been disclosed that production will kick-off April or May of this year and will air in HBO Go here in the Philippines as part of the cable network’s “drive to create original content in Asia-Pacific."
Apart from the Philippines, "Call My Agent" is set for a number of international adaptations in various countries like South Korea, the Middle East, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Poland.
