Angel Locsin, Nadine Lustre and other celebrities who extended a helping hand during typhoon Odette




Before the year 2021 ended, some parts of the country faced a calamity that has caused unimaginable amount of destruction in parts of Visayas and Mindanao.


A few weeks before Christmas and New year, people have been displaced and have lost their houses, livelihood, and for some, family members. Communications and electricity were down and it was a havoc everywhere because of typhoon Odette.




But it is at this time of crisis that we see people come together to help one another. Angel Locsin who has been a constant every time the country is facing a calamity made the headlines when she was photographed arriving at the Leni Robredo-Kiko Pangilinan headquarters in Katipunan QC just a day after the typhoon made its landfall. It goes without saying that she sent her help to those who are affected by typhoon Odette but in later news, Kris Aquino revealed that the actress gave 2M pesos to aid victims of the typhoon!


Angel Locsin isn't the only one who extended a helping hand to people displaced by the calamity. Nadine Lustre who is a frequent guest of Siargao Island did not hesitate to help. The actress bought solar panels for the residents to use for their electricity have been down for weeks, she also spread awareness and post stories of places where people could send their donations in cash or in kind.


Other celebrities who used their platform to shed light to what has been happening to various places affected by typhoon Odette are Kryz Uy and Slater Young, Miss Universe Philippines Beatrice Luigi Gomez, and Andi Eigenmann.
