LPA in Davao region now Typhoon Querubin – Pagasa

GENERAL SANTOS CITY (MindaNews / 17 December) – The  low pressure area (LPA) east of Davao del Norte has developed into Tropical Depression #QuerubinPH at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, December 17, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said.

The typhoon was spotted at 215 kilometers east-southeast of the Davao International Airport in Davao City as of 2 p.m., it said in an advisory issued at 4 p.m. today.

A tropical depression packs maximum sustained winds of up to 62 kilometers per hour (km/h), Pagasa said.

#QuerubinPH  has maximum winds of 45 km/hour near the center and with gustiness of up to 55 km/h, the state weather forecaster said. (MindaNews)
