P3.4-M shabu seized in Maguindanao del Norte
Police arrested a suspect with P3.4 million worth of shabu in his possession during a buy-bust operation in Sultan Kudarat town, Maguindanao del Norte on Christmas Day.
Sultan Kudarat town police chief Lt. Col. Esmael Madin said the suspect identified as Sakilan Ali, 30, a resident of Talitay town, Maguindanao del Norte was arrested after handing over 10 large packets containing shabu to an undercover police officer in Barangay Kabutalan.

Food terminal opens in Aleosan
A P14.58-million food terminal was opened Aleosan, North Cotabato for local farmers, traders and customers.
Aleosan town Mayor Eduardo Cabaya said the terminal has an office, comfort rooms, heavy-duty weighing scales, push carts and tables for the vendors.

Private workers, kasambahays in Caraga get wage hike
The Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board in Caraga has approved Wage Order No. RXII-19 mandating a P50 increase in the minimum wage of private workers, increasing their salary to P435 a day.
The regional wage board also approved an increase of P1,000 for domestic workers or “kasambahay,” raising their salary to P6,000 a month.
Joffrey Suyao, Department of Labor and Employment Caraga director said the new wage orders, issued last December 13, would benefit 65,681 minimum wage earners and 32,866 “kasambahays” in the region. (Froilan Gallardo/MindaNews)
