Bones of ‘salvage victims’ found in Sarangani
Bones of two alleged salvage victims were found buried in a lot in Alabel town, Sarangani province on Christmas day.
Brigadier General Nicolas Torre III, Police Criminal Investigation and Detection Group Director, said a witness identified one of the remains as belonging to a certain “Jomar,” who went missing two to three months ago and was last seen riding a motorcycle.
But he said they will confirm the identity through further forensic analysis.

Magnitude 5.6 quake hits Siargao
A magnitude 5.6 earthquake of tectonic origin shook the tourist island of Siargao at 2:42 a.m. on Saturday, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said.
The agency said the epicenter was located 35 kilometers off the coast of General Luna town in Siargao Island with a dept of 58 kilometers.
The quake was felt at Intensity V in General Luna, Del Carmen, Dapa in Siargao and Claveria town in Surigao del Norte. (Froilan Gallardo/MindaNews)
