• Peace rally attendees must not block sidewalks.

• Vehicles must immediately proceed to Rio de Oro Boulevard for parking.

• PUJs (Public Utility Jeeps):
  • Capistrano/Rizal/Velez Streets: Turn left to Yacapin, Pacana, or Gomez Streets.
  • JR Borja Street: Proceed to JR Borja Bridge.
• Motorelas: Use any open roads, including Velez Street.
• Private Vehicles: Use alternate passable roads.

Emergency Protocol:

• Roads will reopen temporarily during emergencies.

Post-Event:

• Traffic resumes immediately after the rally.

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC SCHEME FOR THE NATIONAL RALLY FOR PEACE SPEARHEADED BY IGLESIA NI CRISTO (INC) AT PLAZA DIVISORIA ON MONDAY, 8AM-6PM, JANUARY 13, 2025.

Please be informed of the Temporary Traffic Scheme to be implemented on January 13, 2025 at Plaza Divisoria for the National Rally for Peace, to wit;

1. TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE, starting 8:00 PM of January 12, 2025 to 6:00 PM of January 13, 2025

1.1 Along Burgos Street bounded by Gomez and Toribio Chaves Streets;

1.2 Along Capistrano Street bounded by Gomez and Toribio Chaves Streets;

1.3 Along Rizal Street from Cruz Taal Street to Toribio Chaves Street;

1.4 Along Tiano Brothers Street from Toribio Chaves Street to Cruz Taal Street;

1.5 Along RN Abejuela Street from Burgos Street to Velez Street and shall be extended as necessary from Velez Street to Corrales Avenue;

1.6 Along Tirso Neri Street from Velez Street to Burgos Street and shall be extended as necessary from Velez Street to Corrales Avenue;

2. CONTINUOUS PASSABLE ROADS FOR VEHICULAR TRAFFIC

2.1 Along Velez Street bounded by Toribio Chaves and Cruz Taal Street;

2.2 Along Pabayo Street from Cruz Taal to Toribio Chaves Street;

2.3 Along Corrales Avenue bounded by Toribio Chaves and JR Borja Streets;

3. TEMPORARY TWO-WAY TRAFFIC FLOW

3.1 Along Corrales Avenue bounded by Toribio Chaves and JR Borja Streets;

4. TEMPORARY PARKING SPACES FOR SERVICE VEHICLES (4-Wheel and Motorcycles) OF THE PEACE RALLY ATTENDEES

4.1 Temporary parking spaces for the service vehicles (4-wheels and Motorcycles) of Peace Rally Attendees shall be at the Rio de Oro Boulevard, left side facing North;

4.1.1 Diagonal parking is implemented for light vehicles at the Boulevard;

4.1.2 Parallel parking is implemented for bus, mini bus, elf type and other big vehicles at the Boulevard.

4.1.3 Parking spaces for motorcycles shall be provided at the Boulevard

4.1.4 Entry of vehicles to the Boulevard shall be at JR Borja- Burgos Street side;

4.1.5 Exit of vehicles from the Boulevard shall be at Julio Pacana Street side;

5. USAGE OF SIDEWALKS AND STREETS WITHIN THE ROAD CLOSED AREAS

5.1 All sidewalks within the road closed areas shall be open for the usage of the general public, especially to those clientele in the respective business establishments located in Plaza Divisoria, while the peace rally attendees are not allowed to standby and block the sidewalks;

5.2 All roads within the road closed areas are still available and open to all passers-by and the general public on foot traffic.

6. DESIGNATED DROPPING AREAS FOR THE PEACE RALLY ATTENDEES

6.1 Capistrano Street, Rizal Street and Tiano Bros. Street within the Plaza Divisoria shall be utilized as designated dropping areas for peace rally attendees and thereafter their respective service vehicles shall proceed immediately to the Rio de Oro Boulevard for parking.

7. TEMPORARY REROUTING OF PUBLIC UTILITY VEHICLES AND PRIVATE VEHICLES

7.1 All PUJs passing along Capistrano Street heading to Divisoria area shall turn left to either Yacapin Street, Pacana Street and Gomez Street towards Cogon Market area and to their desination;

7.2 All PUJs passing along Rizal Street heading to Divisoria area shall turn left to either Pacana Street and Gomez Street towards Cogon Market area and to their destinations;

7.3 All PUJs passing Velez Street heading to Divisoria area shall turn left to either Pacana Street and Gomez Street towards Cogon Market area and to their destinations;

7.4 All PUJs passing JR Borja Street heading to Carmen Market via Divisoria area shall proceed straight to JR Borja Bridge and to their destinations;

7.5 All Motorelas affected by the temporary road closure may proceed to any passable roads, including Velez Street;

7.6 All private vehicles affected by the road closure may proceed to any passable roads as their alternate passage way;

8. IN CASE OF EMERGENCY

8.1 All roads being closed during the aforementioned activity shall be automatically declared open and passable to vehicular traffic if there are any call of emergency.

9. The RTA may institute immediate adjustments to the aforementioned traffic scheme to have an effective traffic management system thereat.

The normal flow of vehicular traffic shall be resume immediately right after the conduct of the said activity.
